About Brittany Stonestreet

Who I Am

I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Publishing and Writing at Boston's Emerson College where I have studied copyediting and the essentials of book publishing, including publishing law.

Throughout my professional career, I have provided editing services for many different projects. My projects range from monthly newsletters with Hilmar Covenant Church (Hilmar, CA) to Escaping the Tiger’s Claws Study Guide by Casey Barton and Chamron Phal.

My skills have been honed through more than a decade of writing novels, short stories, and copywriting; and more than five years of freelance copyediting.

I am an official member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), a member of the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), and hold a Master of Ministry from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.

What others have to say…

Brittany Stonestreet edited my fourth book Autism, Growth & Transitioning into Adulthood “tentative title” (available in the spring of 2025 by Kregel Publications). Brittany is highly skilled, organized, and adaptable. She helped my book come to life with her editing of the mechanics, grammar, literary content, and development of strong transitional sentences. Her advice and recommendations were crucial to the finished product, always keeping in mind my individual writing style. When I had deadlines to reach, Brittany was prompt to finish the edits in a timely manner. Brittany is creative and has expert attention to detail and style formation. I highly recommend her as an editor and she is the editor of my fifth book, which I am currently writing on mental health.

Brittany is a writer’s writer and an editor’s editor; trust her to bring out the best in your work, fiction or non-fiction.

I’ve worked with Brittany Stonestreet for a number of years. She possesses a well-honed instinct for what makes a book work. This is a necessary skill for a developmental editor. What is unusual is that she also loves line editing, copy editing, and proof reading. It’s rare to find someone who can macro edit and micro edit. Your book or thesis will profit from her discerning eye.
